Theres nothing wrong about being on the C team when you’re first starting out, but just try your best to stand out by working the hardest to improve. And in all honesty, especially in a boy’s team, the older guys usually don’t give a shit about the new players, unless you’re their friend.
You should try watching all their games, and actually ask questions. I have to admit, I played all through out high school and didn’t truly understand the game until my third year. Yeah, I knew how to tread and shoot, but the actual workings of the game take awhile to truly understand, unless you ask questions. Which was one of my biggest faults.
And theres no “right” amount that you’re supposed to be swimming everyday. All coaches are different, but train yourself with maybe being able to complete a 500, then try and beat your time every new time. Also work on sprints, and having stamina between them because in games, you’re going to be randomly sprinting, treading, and defending all at high speeds.
